Retro Games Delivered To Your Door

How would you like a mystery box of retro video games delivered to your door each month?  Mystery boxes have taken over the collectors scene in recent years, you can get find a box that fits the interests of anyone that you can think of.  For your “Geek” you have Loot Crate , for pet lovers you have Loot Pets and now for retro video game lovers you have Video Games Monthly.

Video Games Monthly will randomly select a group of retro video games for the systems you choose and send them to your door each month.  Do you want to know the best part?  You get to keep them!  This is not a rental service.  Now, I know what you are thinking, “they are just going to send me a bunch of crap sports games and common titles”.  I will tell you that this is not true, in fact they don’t even send yearly installments of sports games at all!  You may get a Tecmo Super Bowl or Ice Hockey for the NES but you won’t get Madden 97 and NHL 96.  Video Games Monthly also allows you to submit a wish list, they will do what they can to provide the retro video game titles on your list and in my experience, the only games that I have received were from my wish list.

To start just go to the Video Games Monthly Website, create an account and select the plan that works best for you.  Plans come in 3 game, 4 games, 5 games and the largest pack is the 10 game Power Pack.  After you select your plan, fill out your library (so they don’t send you doubles) and email them a wish list.  Now all you have to do is wait!

When your box arrives you may be one of the lucky few to receive a 1-UP (or a 2-Up, I have even witnessed a 3-Up).  These are random bonus games that are in your box at no extra charge.  Check out the video below showing our friend Steve getting a 3-Up on his first ever box!!

Not only is this a great product for the retro gaming community, it is just as fun as going to a yard sale or flea market anxious to see what you can find.  Nothing beats the excitement of pealing that box open and seeing what retro treasures await inside.

So what are you waiting for! Sign up before they fill next months boxes!

Even though this article represents my actual feelings on Video Games Monthly, I am obligated to mention that Video Games Monthly has provided ads for this site.
